MarketGeist Affiliate Program Terms

1. Overview

These terms govern participation in the MarketGeist Affiliate Program (the “Program”), operated by MarketGeist. By using your affiliate link or the affiliate dashboard, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must have a valid MarketGeist account in good standing.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• We may reject or terminate any account for fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms.

3. Commission

• Subscriptions: 25% of the net amount paid by the customer, for every Stripe charge on a referred subscription, for the entire lifetime of that subscription.
• Lifetime Deals (LTD): 25% one-time commission on the net amount of any LTD purchase made by a referred customer.
• Excluded:purchases made through Apple's iOS in-app purchase system are excluded by Apple's App Store Review Guidelines. Only Stripe purchases on marketgeist.com generate commissions.
• Refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and third-party fees are not eligible for commission and will be clawed back if the commission was already recorded.

4. Attribution

• Clicks on your affiliate link are attributed for 60 days via cookie and local storage.
• First-touch wins: if a user clicks multiple affiliate links, the first link is credited.
• Self-referrals are blocked. You may not refer yourself, your own accounts, or make referral purchases from the same payment instrument as the affiliate account.

5. Approval and payout

• Commissions are marked pending for 30 days after the Stripe charge to cover the refund window. After 30 days they move to approved.
• Once your approved balance exceeds $50 USD, we pay out in the next monthly batch via PayPal or bank transfer.
• Payout details must be accurate. Failed payouts caused by incorrect information will be retried in the next batch; we are not liable for bank or PayPal fees.

6. Promotional guidelines

• No spamming, cookie stuffing, fake clicks, or incentivized traffic.
• No paid search bidding on “MarketGeist” or trademark variants.
• No misrepresenting MarketGeist, our pricing, or our features.
• Disclose the affiliate relationship where required by law (FTC, EU, UK, etc.).

7. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes on commission income. Commissions over $600 USD per calendar year may require tax documentation. We may request a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (non-US) before issuing a payout over the threshold.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your participation, void pending commissions, and claw back paid commissions if we determine (in our reasonable discretion) that you have violated these terms, used fraudulent means, or harmed the MarketGeist brand.

9. Changes

We may update these terms with reasonable notice. Material changes to commission rates apply going forward only; existing approved commissions are paid at the rate in effect when they were recorded.
